Keep credentials server-side

Store API credentials in a server-side secret manager or environment variables. Never place private keys in browser code, public repositories or client logs.

Use the documented contract

Use only the endpoint, authentication scheme, parameters, rate limits and response states documented for your account. Do not infer a live endpoint from a sample.

Handle outcomes safely

Treat pending, failed and uncertain provider results distinctly. Make your own requests idempotent and never assume a payment or activation succeeded from a browser redirect alone.

Use the API only for lawful, authorized verification and testing. Respect upstream service terms, rate limits and personal-data requirements.
